A Cave and Chickens

Ryan and I went up to Murphy's to visit his brother and dad on Monday. On the way there, we stopped by Mercer Caverns. We paid $14 each to go on a 45-minute long tour with about a dozen other people. It was super cramped! Fortunately, we were able to linger behind a little bit so I could take some photos without any humans in the shot. :P

This place reminded me of the mine that my friend and I went into when we went on our Mojave trip. (Although, it was safer because the owners of Mercer Caverns installed stairs and bright lights.) The mine, on the other hand, was supposed to have been sealed and off-limits.  Now that I think of it, we're really lucky that none of us got hurt. But that's a story for another blog post!

 Ryan's dad gave us a dozen fresh eggs to take home. Yum! We hope that someday we'll be able to have a small farm like this as well.
